About the Saving Energy North Shropshire project

With the continual rise in energy bills, we understand all too well the challenges that are being faced, which is one of the key reasons why we have launched the Saving Energy North Shropshire project.

Our Energy Champions are already having conversations around energy and equipping our communities with vital skills and knowledge for saving energy and reducing costs. We’re emphasising that saving energy is not only about reducing costs; it is also about improving our mental and physical health through warmer, safer, and more efficient homes.

Volunteer as an Energy Champion

To enable us to deliver this fantastic project to the wider North Shropshire area, we’re recruiting and training 30 energy champions who will be provided with useful information to help advise and support households.

Whilst we have already trained a number of Energy Champions who are actively attending pop-ups and community events to talk with residents and encourage them to become Energy Champion within their own neighbourhoods, we still have a number of Energy Champion Volunteer vacancies available.
